Keyvan Samini Scholarship Program
Privacy Policy

The Keyvan Samini Scholarship Program (the “Program”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its donors, students, volunteers, staff and website users. This policy identifies what personal information is collected by this website and the organization and how the information may be used.

The Program does not sell, rent, share or otherwise provide personal information collected to anyone outside the organization, unless the third party has been retained to assist with the collection, review and verification of scholarship applications, or unless otherwise requested by you. For example, your personal information may be used to collect your application, confirm the accurateness of your application, or to respond to your requests. As noted in the terms and conditions of the Program, the Program may independently verify the accurateness of your application by contacting third parties to do so. However, in doing so we will not disclose any personal information about you, other than what we believe to be relevant in order to verify the accurateness of your application.

The Program does not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it voluntarily and knowingly. You can visit the Program website without telling the organization who you are or revealing any personal information. The Program may collect nonspecific, non-personal information for the purpose of analyzing website traffic and improving content. Most browsers allow the user to deny or accept the cookie feature.

The Program utilizes a third party platform to collect your application and to communicate with individuals you have identified as part of the application. This third party platform is administered by www.awardspring.com. The Program prohibits Awardspring from disclosing your information other than in a manner set forth in the application, or as directed by us. We may utilize automated systems for mass email communication to deliver emails to members of our mailing lists. If you have received a mailing through one of these systems, the Program has identified you as “opting-in” to the mailing list. This means you—the holder of this email address—have: (a) voluntarily shared your address with the Program for the purpose of receiving information or (b) registered with the Program, or otherwise have an existing relationship with the Program or (c) explicitly granted permission to another organization to share your address with its business partners which include the Program.

These links do not fall under the control of the Program and the Program is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. The Program makes no representations or warranties with respect to any linked website. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

The Program makes efforts to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used by our system. We may employ vendors that may require information which we have collected about you in order to permit us to further our mission. We will take necessary precautions to prohibit these vendors from sharing, selling, or rent any information about you without your expressed, written permission, unless compelled to do so by law.

The Program reserves the right to amend its privacy policies at any time. Therefore, please review them periodically. Use of the website after changes to the policies will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
